The Multimedia Internet Protocol (IP) Subsystem, known as IMS, is built on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) as a base to further support voice, video, data, fixed and mobile packages on a single platform for end users. It provides a unique convergence platform for different types of networks – mobile, satellite, broadband, cable and fixed networks, with the goal of building an efficient interoperability network.

Message Automation and Protocol Emulation (MAPS™) is a multi-protocol, interface simulation software with a common framework to support simulation of a variety of signaling and traffic generation protocols including voice, tones, numbers, fax, data and video. It covers legacy PSTN and next generation VoIP networks, wireless equipment, interfaces, and networks. Interfaces can be analog, TDM, IP/Ethernet, or wireless.
