Apple won’t release an iMac Pro or Mac Pro until 2023, while it still plans to release a 27-inch external display without mini-LED sometime this year, according to popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He said today on Twitter.

iMac pro apple newsroom
Explaining his predictions for Apple’s Mac lineup in 2022 and 2023, Kuo said that Apple plans to release a new high-end Mac mini and a 27-inch external display without mini-LED in 2022, while Apple’s silicon ‌Mac Pro‌ and ‌iMac‌ Pro It won’t be released until 2023.

Kuo’s prediction that Apple isn’t planning to release the iMac Pro until next year conflicts with information shared by display analyst Ross Young. Young, who also has a proven track record of being credible with Apple products, said the ‌iMac‌ Pro may be launched in June this year.

The ‌iMac‌ Pro is expected to replace the 27-inch Intel-based iMac currently in the lineup and will be sold alongside the 24-inch desktop computer announced in April 2021. Young said the ‌iMac‌ Pro will feature a mini-LED and rumors suggest Previous to having a design similar to the size of 24 inches.

Given the significant discrepancy between the information shared by Kuo and Young, it might be reasonable for analysts to refer to different devices.

Kuo could refer to a true professional-grade iMac at the higher end of the group, while the details provided by Young simply refer to a non-professional iMac.

It’s worth noting that Apple previously used the “iMac Pro” name in the now-defunct iMac, and despite rumors that the company will revive the name, it’s debatable whether Apple will use the name again.

In the near future, Kuo says that Apple plans to launch an affordable display for consumers this year. Kuo says the screen will be 27 inches in size and won’t feature a small LED light. Just today, Mark Gurman indicated that the display will likely be announced during Apple’s event on Tuesday.

Today, Kuo confirmed that Apple will launch a new high-end “Mac mini” this year and it is also expected to debut during next week’s event. Check out our guide for a full summary of everything we can expect from Apple next week.
