The beta version of iOS 15.4 has been released to the public, and the latest version of iOS will be free for compatible iPhones when it becomes available.

As the name suggests, iOS 15.4 is the fourth major update of iOS 15which was launched with iPhone 13 in September. These updates started in December iOS 15.1 versionThey added more features to Apple’s iPhone operating system and improved existing ones. iOS 15.4 will follow iOS 15.3.1, which was released last month for a patch Vulnerability in iPhone and iPad devices.

As with every beta operating system, we recommend Download only on test device, instead of your primary iPhone. Beta versions are meant for stability and bug testing, which means they’re not as optimized as release versions – you’ll likely experience shorter battery life and app instability.

What is the release date of iOS 15.4?

Apple hasn’t announced an exact release date for iOS 15.4, but the company said the update will be available as a free upgrade next week. The new green iPhone 13, alpine green iPhone 13 Pro, and new iPhone SE will come with iOS 15.4 preloaded, according to Apple.

How do I download the iOS 15.4 beta?

You will first need to register for the Apple Beta Software Program. Once you’ve joined the program, download the configuration profile from Apple. Then you should be able to find the latest beta version by going to Settings > General > Program Update and selection Download and install. Again, we only recommend this for secondary and test devices due to the buggy nature of beta testing.

What is universal control?

Universal Control allows you to use other devices as second monitors, and seamlessly transfer content between them using just one device. This eagerly anticipated feature was initially announced as Part of macOS Monterey, but delayed During the fall, with a new schedule indicating “this spring”. Universal Control has appeared in the beta version of iOS 15.4, and will be released as a public beta alongside updates for Monterey OS 12.3 and iPadOS 15.4.

Can I use Face ID with masks?

Apple is updating its Face ID feature to be usable while wearing a mask. Since the feature uses a smaller part of your face to verify your identity, you’ll need to be more precise about the angle you hold your phone when using Face ID. Your phone will also prompt you if it needs to look directly at the screen. The updated feature should work for people who wear glasses, but it won’t work with sunglasses.

What new emojis are coming?

If you are the type of person who takes pride in using creative and fun emojis, you will love iOS 15.4. there 37 new emoji In the update, including new options for swatches, hands posing in the shape of a heart, a salute and – my personal favorite – a lip-biting emoji. These were revealed last fall and also include a melting face, a face holding a tear, a bird’s nest, a coral, a lotus, a low battery, and a bean.

Another feature included in the update is the ability to copy text from objects using the camera during the Notes or Reminders apps. And as spotted by ZDNet, the iOS 15.4 beta also fixes a bug related to recordings of Siri interactions.
