We spent some time with the excellent Galaxy S22 Ultra and now that we’re back at the office there are pass and access cards to carry with the phone. The new version of Smartish Wallet Slayer Vol. The first case is an affordable case that holds up to three cards and a few bills.
Smartish also has accessories that are available for mobile devices and are shipped with some items to try. These include the Wrangler Cable, Charge Island Wireless Charger, and the Crown Joule Universal Charging Cable. All products are affordable and built to last with the cable that comes with a lifetime warranty.
Killer Wallet Vol. 1
Samsung Pay and Google Pay When you load the Galaxy S22 Ultra, you can leave your credit card at home and use your phone for different payments. However, you may still need to carry a driver’s license, transit card, and door-entry card. The Smartish Wallet Slayer Vol. 1 is an option that provides the card holder in the back with ample space for up to three cards and one or two bills. I personally tested it with my driver’s license, ORCA transit card, building door entry card, and a $20 folded bill. Even if you only carry one card, the inside of the case has a design that presses the cards on the back so that one card stays securely in place as well.
The card slot has a wide card slot with a small slot on the left side, identified as the thumb slot, so you can push cards out from the side of the card into the slot. The card slot is integrated into the back of the case, making the back of the case thicker. One downside of this type of wallet case is that wireless charging does not work with your phone in the case.

The material of the case is flexible and has textured sides with integrated handles designed for your fingers. Raised buttons make activating the volume or power button quick and easy. The edges and corners are well protected in the case and as you can see from the inside there is a shock absorption system in the design.
There is a wide opening for the rear camera so that the use of the camera is not affected in any way. The bezels also help protect multiple cameras. The edges also rise above the screen to protect the screen when you place it on the surface.
The Smartish Wallet Slayer Vol. 1 Available in one solid color, Black Tie Affair, and three Fresh Paint options. The black bag is $19.99 and the other is $24.99. Fresh Paint models feature colored back panels and include Flavor of the Month (a very galaxy-like design), Chef’s Special (a gray woody look), and Freshly Baked (a green leaf pattern).
Part of a mobile technology enthusiast’s life is dealing with a lot of cables. One way you can organize your cables is with the Smartish Cable Wrangler. This $19.99 accessory is a fabric-covered block with powerful magnets on the inside and a rubber coating on the bottom to keep it from sliding around the surface. The neat block has some weight so it won’t be affected by cables.
The ends of the cables rest on the block so you can easily find and grab them. If your chosen cable doesn’t hold tight enough for bulk, Smartish includes three magnetic collars that you can attach to the cable. It’s a very simple device but has proven useful in organizing my cables for years.
Speaking of cables, Smartish offers a six-foot universal charging cable that contains USB-C, Lightning, and miniUSB to fit any mobile device. The cable is available for $19.99 (a popular price at Smartish) in No. 2 Pencil Gray (Aren’t the pencils yellow?), Lightly Toasted Beige, Teal Me More, and I’m Blushing.
Strong fabric sheathed cable should prevent cable failure and if there is a problem, the cable has a lifetime warranty. It’s a convenient six-foot cable, so it works in many areas for delivering power to your desktop or bedside.

The primary end has a microUSB terminal, so if you have a microUSB device, simply plug the cable directly into the device. A short cable comes out from the side of the microUSB part with the USB-C terminal and the Lightning terminal on both sides. There is a slot on the opposite side of each for a microUSB port. Simply insert the microUSB tip into the back of the type of cable you need and voila you’re gone.
The primary power supply end of this cable is USB-A, so as more A/C charging bricks move to USB-C, we may see a new cable released. Smartish has a USB-C to USB-C cable option, but as someone who uses multiple devices, I love the Universal Multi-Cable option.
Another portable accessory available from Smartish is the Charge Island universal wireless charger. It’s available at a reasonable $29.99 for Black Tie Affair and $34.99 for Flavor of the Month, Chef’s Special, and Freshly Baked. You can also customize it for $44.99.
The large octagonal shape charging pad provides up to 15W of wireless power. A USB-A to USB-C cable is provided with the USB-C connector located on the back of the Charge Island.
I prefer to put my phone on a wireless charger on my nightstand, but I hate when the charger lights up a bright LED when charging, so I have to be selective about my charger in this location. The Charge Island has a charging indicator light, but it turns off after a few seconds so you can sleep peacefully.
There are vents on the bottom of the charger so it doesn’t get hot while charging your phone, headset, or other accessory. There are also ample rubber feet to help keep the charger in place on your chosen surface.
