It has already become a busy month for Apple. Last week, the tech company announced its latest iPhone model, the SE, which has a long-lasting battery and now features 5G, just like the latest iPhone 13 line.
“The iPhone SE has been an incredibly popular choice with our existing users and new iPhone customers, thanks to its premium design, exceptional performance, and affordable price,” Cayan Drans, Apple’s vice president of global iPhone product marketing, said in a press release. “This year we built our most powerful and durable iPhone SE yet, with better battery life thanks to the A15 Bionic, the same chip in the iPhone 13 lineup that also unlocks advanced camera features like Smart HDR 4, photography modes and Deep Fusion.”
Apple fans can pre-order the new iPhone online, including Amazon, before it becomes available on March 18, 2022. Meanwhile, tech brands have wasted no time preparing for the new release with high-tech iPhone cases that will protect the $429 device.
If you really want to keep your Apple product secure and rip-free, you might want to consider using a phone case made from Kevlar, a material known for being lightweight, durable, and extremely strong.
Urban Armor Gear, a company that specializes in durable covers for Samsung, Google and Apple smartphones, has a large inventory of phone cases available online, including budget-friendly Kevlar options, like the Metropolis LT case below.
The most important cover design feature? You can drop your phone up to 16 feet away, and the durable case is designed to withstand impact. In other words, if you happen to fall out of your hands while commuting or jogging for example, your screen and device should be safe.
There are actually multiple layers of protection under its hard outer surface. The case protects the front corners of your phone’s entire screen—something that some of the skinny phone cases we’ve used in the past seem to lack. The interior of the case also helps protect your phone from any unexpected impacts.
And while they work hard to protect your device, the brand made sure to keep it functional, with easy-to-grip sides and clickable buttons. In the event nothing happens to your case, it’s backed by a limited lifetime warranty, although you’ll likely need a new phone before it’s even time to consider replacing this tough-as-nails case.
Don’t have a SE? No sweat. If you haven’t upgraded to the latest iPhone, there are still plenty of heavy-duty Kevlar iPhone cases for previous phone models as well, including the rugged Monarch Series case for the iPhone 13 Pro Max below. The case features 20 feet of impact protection, a five-layer design, and a 10-year limited warranty—all for under $80.
In addition to Urban Armor Gear, other brands also produce durable iPhone cases made of hard materials like Kevlar, including The Ridge phone cases, which you can order online. The Kevlar Heat Resistant Case from Ridge comes in iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max versions, and features a shock-resistant TPU inner sleeve and a protective lip around the screen.
