Corsair One i300 review: Design
When I reviewed the predecessor of the Corsair One i300, it was pirate one i200I had nothing but praise for its compact chassis and light weight. At 15.0 x 7.0 x 7.9 inches and 17.3 pounds, this is one of the smallest pre-built gaming PCs you can buy—especially with a large and powerful GPU inside. It’s fair to say that the One i300’s premium price tag is at least partly due to its elegant build.
Aesthetically, the One i300 is also a cut above most other gaming PCs, which tend to have either plain black squares or an over-designed display. This machine features a simple Corsair One logo, two illuminated LED strips at the front, and triangular perforations on each side that work for ventilation. The One i300 is a gaming PC that’s nice enough to live on your desk, and light enough to not break anything.
Corsair One i300 review: Ports and upgradeability
In terms of ports, the Corsair One i300 is pretty decent. Up front, you’ll find a 3.5mm audio jack, two USB-A ports, and a USB-C port. However, the back is positively filled with ports: six USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an Ethernet port, three DisplayPorts, one HDMI port and a power port. There are also three 3.5mm audio jacks: an input, an output, and a microphone.
However, what the One i300 offers in ports, it lacks upgradability. Opening such a tightly packed machine is kind of a process, as you might imagine. You have to open the top of the device, disconnect the fan, turn the computer on its side and unscrew the board. And even once you do, you can’t modify much away from the SSD. What you get is what you’ll most likely be stuck with until you buy a whole new PC.
Corsair One i300 review: Gaming performance
The Corsair One i300 is absolutely beautiful when it comes to gaming performance. On 1080p or QHD screens, it can support incredibly high frame rates; On 4K screens, it’s still not likely to drop below 60fps. Overall, the Corsair One i300 outperformed its competitors in every case. This isn’t surprising, since it’s a slightly more powerful machine, but it’s great news for gamers with 4K screens, who want to take their game settings to the next level. Frame rates in 4K games have never dropped below 60fps – an enviable measure, not even a standard PS5 And the Xbox Xbox X can constantly match.
Qualitatively speaking, the One i300 ran like a dream. I tested the system with Age of Empires IV, Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy XIV on a 4K screen at maximum graphical settings. While every game occasionally dropped below 60fps, it hit a low around 59fps, which is a pretty good problem.
Corsair One i300 review: Overall performance
If you want to use the Corsair One i300 for work, you’ll be glad to know that it’s also a productivity powerhouse. Here’s how it stacks up to the Millennium and Aurora R13:

On a Geekbench 5.4 test, a synthetic benchmark that measures the overall power of a system, the One i300 performed beautifully, although the Millennium outperformed it slightly. Similarly, One i300 can transcribe files and encode video easily.
I’ve used the One i300 as my work machine for a few days, and had nothing to complain about. No matter how many tabs you opened, no matter how many videos you watched, no matter how much music you streamed and no matter how many programs you opened, the system never lags or falters. I also stayed remarkably calm, which was a helpful bonus while I was trying to get the hard work done.
The One i300 is also light on optional software. The only thing you’ll have to deal with is the Corsair Utility Engine (iCUE), which monitors vital elements of your system and controls the impressive LED lighting. If you have other pirate hardware, you must be familiar with iCUE, which is one of the best peripheral management software out there.
Corsair One i300 review: Conclusion
When I reviewed the Corsair One i200 a few years ago, I adored the look of the system, but felt even more ambivalent about what kind of components I got for the price. While the Corsair One i300 will still set you back a bit, the components will also keep your games running in perfect condition for years to come.
While the One i300 won’t be in everyone’s price range, it’s worth considering if you can afford it. Otherwise, you can save some money by going for the Aurora R13, although it will cost you some floor space instead.
